Matthew's First Haircut

We took Matthew to get his first haircut tonight. His hair was getting kind of shaggy and people were starting to call him a girl. He did a really great job. We went to Kids Hair and they had a nice chair to buckle him into and movies playing to keep him distracted. He did really well and didn't cry at all. He mostly just watched the lady cutting his hair or the movie. We made sure to get pictures and we kept some of the clipped curls for his baby book or scrapbook. He looks so much more grown up with his new haircut. My shaggy little boy is all grown up now it seems.

Happy Fathers Day!

I hope everyone had a great fathers day. We took a boat cruise and had brunch in the morning and saw my parents in the evening. It was a great day aside from getting stuck in traffic. It is always nice for us and Matthew to be able to hang out with his Grandparents and other relatives.

First time at the zoo!

I guess it has already been a couple weeks ago since we took Matthew to the zoo for the first time. He had a good time and was a great little boy (as usual). He enjoyed holding our hands and walking all over the zoo. I think he might have been more interested in the other kids around than the animals but he still had a good time.


He also has "mastered" the art of walking. As well as a 14 month old can master it. It is so cute to see him toddling around.
